Our Housing Law Services
Eviction and Possession Proceedings
We advise landlords on how to regain possession lawfully and represent tenants who are facing eviction. We deal with Section 8 and Section 21 notices, defences to possession claims, and enforcement issues. We act quickly in cases with court deadlines or bailiff involvement.
Disrepair and Housing Conditions
We help tenants living in unsafe or unhealthy homes, including issues involving damp, mould, structural defects, and lack of repairs. We pursue landlords where repairs have been ignored and represent clients in housing disrepair claims under the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.
Rent Arrears and Breach of Tenancy
We act in rent disputes, missed payments, and breach of tenancy conditions. We represent landlords seeking payment or enforcement, and tenants challenging unfair claims or recovering overpaid rent. We also advise on illegal rent increases.
Illegal Eviction and Harassment
We represent tenants who have been locked out, threatened, or forced to leave without a court order. Illegal eviction is a serious matter and we act urgently to restore tenancy rights, secure re-entry, or claim compensation.
Tenancy Deposit Disputes
We act for tenants where deposits were not protected or returned, and for landlords responding to deposit claims. We advise on compliance with tenancy deposit schemes and represent clients in deposit-related proceedings.
Drafting and Reviewing Tenancy Agreements
We prepare and review tenancy agreements for landlords, agents, and tenants. Accurately drafted agreement protects both sides and prevents future disputes. We ensure documents are legally sound and up to date with current housing law.

Frequently asked question
No. A landlord must follow the correct legal process, including serving notice and obtaining a possession order from the court. Evicting a tenant without a court order is a criminal offence. We act urgently if this has happened to you.
The required notice period depends on the reason for possession. Under current rules, Section 21 notices must give at least two months' notice. Section 8 notices vary depending on the rent arrears or breach involved. We will confirm what applies in your case.
You may have a legal claim under the Fitness for Human Habitation law if your home is unsafe or in poor condition. This includes damp, leaks, broken heating, or structural problems. We help tenants take legal action where landlords fail to make repairs.
We will check the grounds for eviction and help you serve the correct notice, usually under Section 8. We prepare possession claims, advise on evidence, and represent landlords in court where needed.
Tenants can claim compensation of up to three times the deposit amount if the landlord failed to protect it in a government-approved scheme. We advise on whether you have a claim and can help you recover what you are owed.
You must respond to the claim by the deadline on the form. Do not ignore it. We can help you file a defence and represent you at the court hearing. Acting early improves your options and may prevent eviction.
Section 21 is a no-fault eviction notice. It is still valid as of 2025, but must meet strict legal requirements on form, deposit protection, and documents served. We will check whether the notice is valid and advise you on next steps.
Yes. If your landlord has failed to carry out necessary repairs or your home is unfit for living, you may be able to claim compensation or force repairs. We will assess your situation and prepare your case based on evidence and inspection records.
